I tried to update from 2.71 SE-A to 3.02 OE. I was updating and everything was fine until I got to the end of updating and it said "Error: dxar open", so I was like "oh god, hope it isn't serious. I looked in the guide and it said to drag the recovery folder with the junk in it to the game folder and run it from the recovery menu (hold r when booting the psp). When I click recovery it just sits there like its trying to boot, its like it ignored going into recovery. Can anyone help me get passed this mess? I need help fast. Thanks in advance. Tell me if I'm screwed or not.

Yes, it goes to the recovery menu. I put the flasher for recovery(i know, i put the RECOVERY folder inside the GAME folder, not the whole thing)folder in the GAME folder. When I click on "Run program at blah blah, it just goes back to when i hold the r button. It's like its trying to boot but theres nothing there. The recovery wont start.

copy the recovery folder to GAME, then get the official 1.5 EBOOT and put in in the recovery folder and rename the eboot as 1.5 eboot as UPDATE.PBP, then go to recovey mode and choose the run prog at option

It's still doing the same thing, just goes back to the black screen. Do I have to put it in the GAME150 folder, GAME folder, do I need to delete everything else in the folder, or does it make a difference? God this worrying me.

Download this file http://rapidshare.com/files/9501705/L-Bu...covery.rar.html .It is a Recovery setup I made for you.Now Press and Hold down the R button while turning on your psp system.Once you are in the Recovery menu click on USB,it should activate the USB connection and you can access your psp.Now drag and drop the PSP folder in the file I just uploaded for you.If it asks to overwrite, just click yes and let it continue. Now go down to where it says Run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP and then execute it.You will see a black screen come up with text, read it to understand what you are doing. If you agree press the X button, and it should reflash your nand so you can use 1.50 firmware.I included the US 1.50 firmware, but if you want to use a different 1.50 firmware you can replace it in the GAME folder. It is named UPDATE.pbp, and if you replace it with whatever firmware you want to use.You have to rename it to UPDATE.pbp .

I dont think I'm putting this out clear enough. It won't even get to the part where it says "start recovery"(if i didnt have the update it would say "could not find update", "screen") It just goes back to where its trying to load the XMB. AHHHHH I really dont want to buy another psp, I've had this one since it came out. I heard something about reflashing a file named "system.prx". Do you guys know anything about that? Plz get back to me, thx.

u can only do this if u messed with a particualr file.. u dnt no what file the data.daxr is missing...

make a fodler called "RECOVERY" in side "mso:/PSP/GAME/RECOVERY"

And simply put a 2.0 eboot inside there..

Rename that eboot to "EBOOT.PBP" and then turn on psp while holding R and it will cme into the recovery menu.

Hit X on "Run program from PSP/GAME/RECOVER/EBOOT"

It will start the eboot like your upgrading.

When its done you will get a BSOD and then you have a 2.0 psp. then just downgrade adn reinstall OE-B

Hey i was wondering is this dark alex's email i really need to tell you something. I bricked my psp. I dont blame you i blame myself. Well i had 3.02 OE-B upgrading to your cool upgrade , 3.03 OE-A (not A'). There was an easy installer at pspupdates.com. i download it and did it. It said 3.03 OE-A installer but when i installed it it was actually 3.02 OE-A. So i upgraded it back to 3.02 Oe-B. Then i installed the installer again but this time i changed the eboots with the 3.03 OE-A which means i had the wrong dxar file. So i bricked my psp. I installed the recovery folder but when i click the PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP buton it freezes and the shuts the psp. Please help me out i beg you. My psp was 2.6 - 1.5- 2.0- 1.5- 3.02 OE-A- 3.02 OE-B - 3.02 OE-A - 3.02 OE- B.

i personally dont worry about the recovery folder in the new 3.02.still trying out 3.03 .just dl the dark alex 2.71 seb ,choose just the recovery to 1.5 .done it several times on various psp`s ,not a brick so far .make sure batt is full ,plug in ac ,just to be safer .

have not read all, just the last few ,this is how i go to a 1.5 no worries.only from an already altered psp i assume .
