Help with Xbox 360 flashing!!!!

I do not have access to a floppy drive made a boot disk on cd with the 4 mtkflash files needed and it says reboot computer just like it is suppose to but i don tknow where the orig.bin file is located since i'am using a cd can someone please help???

got the file orig.bin off of the 360 but kdx1.5 says wrong firmware what do i do???

dude,
have you read the readme doc with the package?
the orig.bin is what you read from your xbox 360 dvd rom firmware.
if you read the doc and do more searching you will find all the instructions.
but here they are:
1. use mtkflash r => read your original fimware which will include your xbox dvd key (keep this file, it is very very important!)
2. use hex editor and extract the key from your orig.bin file and apply it to the xtreme firmware
3. use mtkflash w /sata /w newfile.bin to apply the firmware to your xbox 360 dvd rom. where newfile.bin is the xtreme firmware file with your key inserted
Then, when you update to a newer firmware from xtreme, all you need is the newfile.bin when you create the newer newfile.bin.
OK, THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME THAT I WILL DETAIL HOW DO THIS THE FIRMWARE. YOU GUYS NEED TO READ. I JUST DID A SEARCH IN THIS FORUM AND FOUND AT LEAST 11 THREADS ON HOW TO DO THIS.

why are you using kdx1.5?
just use a hex editor to extract the key and then insert into the new firmware from xtreme.

thanks for your help but when i insert ny backup game it says please put this disc in an xbox 360 could someone please get on aim or msn messenger with me for just a couple of minutes???aim:coryjb71

it came as an iso file with a .dvd file i dowloaded it from revolution.tt torrent site i have tried to flash my 360 again and i keep getting port 170 master/slave:b0 any ideas and could we possibly get on messenger or AIM i wont take much of your time and im using memorex DVD+R DL

first thing first:
1. port 170 master/slave:b0 error when flashing
Answer => you need to run the 0800 file. burn this file on a verbatim DVD+R DL @ 2.4x
1a. conenct your xbox dvd-rom to your sata on your computer
1b. power up your computer and boot from floppy
1c. wait for the A:\ prompt after computer boot
1d. power up your xbox 360 and wait for 10 seconds, your xbox will flash red lights, that's normal
1e. eject your dvd rom and insert this 0800 that you have burnt and wait for 10 seconds. remove the dvd after 10 seconds
1f. proceed with your flashing update
That will resolve your port 170 master/slave:b0 error when flashing.
This 0800 file comes with the 4.2Xtreme package and the instructions are on the readme file.
2. Now, as for your downloaded game => SHAME ON YOU!! THIS IS PIRATING! YOU SHOULD HAVE THE ORIGINAL GAME!
But, you must download the ss.bin and use SSMerger.exe to merge the ss.bin to the iso that you have downloaded. Google for a link to get your ss.bin file. Don't use memorex media => USE VERBATIM DVD+R DL!
And sorry, I don't AIM or messenger.

google xtreme and you will find a place to download all the versions including 4.2Xtreme.
btw use the Xtreme5.0 version. it was recently released!

burn the 0800 file on a VERBATIM DVD+R DL media and insert it in the xbox DVD ROM => this 0800 will unlock the previous firmware protection.
IT MUST BE DVD+R DL that's DUAL LAYERS!

Leave the enable 0800 disc in for about 15-20 seconds and then hit enter and see if it works.

I have tried the enable 0800.iso on verbatim DVD+R DL and does not do anything i can not get into my 360 again
i get port 170 master/slave:b0
games i have burnt all downloaded games (i have orignals of)
i get a screen that says to play this disc put it an xbox 360
same screen for th enable 0800 disc also
someone please help

You need to start completely over. I'm pretty sure you haven't even flashed your 360 to begin with. Start over and re-read this thread carefully. The answers are already here. But it would be nice if you'd give us more info.
What type of 360 drive?
What version?

dude, you are panicing! STOP... TAKE A DEEP BREATH!
Now first of all, what sata are you using? you need to google this and make sure that your sata chipset is compatable. DON'T ASK US WHICH ONE! SEARCH DAMMIT!
I believe that your sata chipset is not compatable.
If, your chipset is compatable then google on the internet for a complete instructions on how to initiate the flash.
if your sata chipset is not compatable you can modified the mtkflash.exe file and manually enter your sata address/port. There is a thread on how to do this!
