ok well i dont have the recovery file but i can toggle the recovery menu and everything works fine do i still need the folder in case i semi brick?

i don't think so...but im not too sure...
i think the recovery folder is for u to run wen the screen remains black... u can always take ur memstick out of ur psp and put it in a card reader to put the folder in...

but one question how can the psp become semi bricked when everything is running ok.. a corupted eboot?

u can put the recovery folder in after the psp semi-bricks

and semi-brick would be caused by a bad flash.. could be a game boot or firmware
