Hi, I was thinking about buying a premodded xbox 360 on the internet and the place i was planning to buy it from is at germeny, do you think it would work in australia or not, would the power cord be a hassle or the default lanaguage that the xbox 360 is on or would it just be unable to play in Australia, thanks
Normally,it would be ok for you to use it in Australia as Germany uses the same PAL system as your country and for the power voltage too it's similar,i.e,it's 230V for both countries. For the language, you can just switch it to English.
I bought mine in Japan though the power voltage and the system is completely different from the country i live, for that i bought a power converter to convert the 230V here into 110V(for Japan),but in your case you don't need that. For the games i can use only NTSC ones and not the ones available here because they are PAL,but that's no big deal because here's there's not much big availability on 360 games, but for you it's alright because Germany and Australia both use the same PAL system. And finally for the language,i switched it from Japanese to English and it's done.
Thanks for that TY4ever but i meant the actual power outlet because in Australia we have a 3 prone plug and in germany they have only two and they are a different size and shape, so what do i do there??
If it's like this, you can still use an adapter for the power plug. There exists some kind of multi-plug which can accommodate a variety of international power plugs,if you take one,it's better to take one which is fused,a question of safety. You can check where you live if they have this kind of multi-plug i'm talking about,if they have it then you can proceed with buying your 360.
