Alright. I remember on the PS1 that you have to plug the controller into port 2 to beat him or die and just beat with the controller on port 1. Problem is, on the PSP, you can't assign controller ports and when I die (about 3 times already) it's not letting me beat him. Was there something else that I was supposed to do to be able to beat him with the controller on port 1?

When I first played MGS (the day it came out), I had no idea about the controller swap thing. I simply learned PM's pattern. You can get a couple of punches in, just before he reappears. Sometimes, the thermal Goggles can be a help here. Took me a while to do it, but once I had it sussed, It was a piece of cake. Never used the swap to this day.
