Okay I am going to say sorry in advanced as they may have been people who have already created a thread like this.

I just bought my psp, brand new last saturday (30th December 06) and i want to know if i can get games that i have just downloaded (FIFA 07 and Tekken Dark Resurection Torrents) to work on it. I have ordered a "NEW SONY 1G MS MEMORY STICK PRO DUO" and i am awaiting for its delivery.

Please someone tell me step by setp if possible on how to get the games to work and what i'd need to do to shrink them. Tekken is 1.66Gb and well my memory stick is only 1gb. is there a way to shrink it to around 200mb or less and if so, does it lose quality etc.

I'll repeat myself. im sorry if this has already been created. i just want to be pointed in the right direction. i dont want to harm my psp in any way.

to shrink them
you can use this to compress the iso (cso) but some games will lag if compressd like GTA

about make the games work first you need to say which firmware the psp have and dont upgrade the firmware,to see if you can downgrade and also which motherboard you have

my advice to you would be to buy a 2 gig pro duo memory stick of ebay, 1 gig is ok for storing games and images on but not really up to the job if youre an avid gamer.

is my firmware like the version number. i check out the settings and one of the settings say it is v2.71. is that the firmware? sorry im not to sure

if you go to system settings on your psp, and then system information

you will see what firmware your psp is using

when looking on google just type in psp 2.71 or for that matter any of the firmwares and you will get results.

i went to were u said and it says version 2.71
if i use that downgrader tool im scared it may "brick" after reading the link u directed me to. what does brick mean lol?

anotha thing how can i compress tekken dark... or any otha iso to around 200mb. i used the program u showed me and it went down to only 1.15gb.

you will not brick your psp if you follow the tutorials properly, double check everything and most importantly keep your usb lead connected while doing the update/downgrades and a full battery is usefull too.

however i must warn you

there is allways risks when upgrading and downgrading firmware.

double check everything and you should be ok.

games above 1+gb cannot be compressed to 200 MB you will just have to bite the bullet i'm afraid and buy a 2 gb stick.
