Booting PS2 from HDD (hard drive)

Can anyone point me in the right directing on bootingup the PS2 without a disk.

My PS2 is modded with a DMS4 chip and am curently using HDLoader to boot the HDD but my laser is toast so I would like to boot directly from the HDD Is this Possible, and How :)

Are you running ToxicOS? If so it has a built in HDD browser. Or you could install the MC exploit on your memory card and load HDloader directly from there.

I am running the toxicOS. I have the DMS4-lite and was woundering if it can boot hdloader from the HDD. When I set the DMS chip to HDD dev. it loads DMS format tool not HD Loader

Any Ideas

How about booting it directly into toxicOS.

That's what I do, and at the ToxicOS screen, all my games are listed under the "games" tab. But, and I'm not too sure about this, since your harddrive is formatted for HDloader Toxic may not recognize it. I remember WinHIIP asking me to choose between ToxicOS, HDA, and HDL.

I use the DMS4ProSE and it has 2mb flash memory. If yours has the same thing maybe you could just install the HDloader elf onto the chips memory and boot up HDloader straight from ToxicOS.

I hate to say it but seeing as how easy it is for me to run games off of my hdd, maybe the best option for you would be to format your harddrive to ToxicOS standards. Then you could just boot into ToxicOS and the integrated HDD software would set you on your way.
