I need a cable filter for a dvd recorder

My stand alone dvd recorder has suddenly quit recording, it still plays dvd's, so I'm assuming my cable provider has macro'ed up on me. So, can someone please drop me the link for that filter again? I'm looking for the one that you place between the dvd recorder and the cable box. I'm sure somebody knows the one I'm talking about. I've tried for the last hour to find it and I just can't seem to pull it back up. (that's what I get for not bookmarking it, I know) Any help is appreciated.

Also: I can't seem to find the firmware for the dvd recorder so if anyone knows where I might find that as well, that would be great. It's an Emerson EWR10D5
