Hi I just got 3.02 oe-b on and it works somewhat great. I haven't tested iso's or the psx emulator yet. Anyways my question is about the features of the recovery mode. How is it possible for the 3.02 oe-b to be bricked? Also, do i need any specific files on my memory stick to run the recovery mode in case a brick may have occured?

Hold down the R button when booting the PSP up to go into rec mode. Also you can only brick the PSP when messing around with flash like changing XMB icons and font etc.

You have to put a 1.5 update file on the MS. It may cost memory but in case your psp goes brick...

well rite now i am having 1.5 with devhook 0.46 with 2.82prx that runs mgs po just rite.
i am hearing too much about this 3.02oe-b. and looks good too.
i wanted to ask that can i format my card after installing 3.02oe-b?
and in case i want to go back to 1.5 i need a 1.5eboot in update folder thats it rite?

and can it support dax games?
i mean can i play dax compressed games on 3.02 oe-b? and games like DAXTER which only played thru mph game loader. and will i be needing the devhook?

3.02 oe-b does not run .dax compressed games yet, only ISO/CSO.

You do not need devhook or MPH when you have 3.02 oeb.

3.02 oe-b is pretty slick. I got final fantasy 8 running without a problem. Setup was a breeze. Btw, i'm not sure if it might run pirated playstation games because i used a legit copy of final fantasy 8(my sister bought it lol). It actually runs very smooth. Oh and about the 1.50 eboot, where do i put it?

Oh and is the recovery system built in flash or are there specific folders required on the memory stick to use it? Can someone explain to me what and where these files are located if there are any? I'm just trying to be on the safe side xD.

Hanipani,
Just connect to ur computer and put all files on your ms on your computer. Then format, after update it and put back the files were there are belong. If, you want 1.5 firmware put the update file on the GAME_150 if it doesnt works then try GAME_302.

serious8,
What 1.5 Eboot file? What is used for ? Recovery or update? The recovery system is in built in flash. If you are putting the 1.5 for update like Hanipani, then follow the instructions up there. If it is for recovery then make a folder names RECOVERY on the GAME folder. Not game_150. Put the 1.5 Update files on the RECOVERY folder. So, every time you brick your psp, restart your psp while holding R. The recovery meunu should show up.
