Hi everyone, I'm completely new with Xbox 360 and not too
familiar with MOD Chips and Burning Back Up Games. Anyways,
I just recently bought a PS3 and Xbox 360 for my little Nephews/Nieces and Cousins to play with since they're always
coming over. Unfortunately, they've already scratched up 3 of
my Xbox 360 games on the first day that I got the system and games
(which is today). So I was wondering, could anyone answer these questions? I could not find complete/specific answers for some of these questions...

- Do I require a MOD Chip to play the Back Up Games?

- Do you HAVE TO use Double Layer DVDs?
(Buying a PS3 + Xbox 360 including accessories/games took a lot of my wallet, and it'll be a long while until I can buy some.)
If so then:
- Can I used normal DVD+Rs?
(Brand(s): HP / TDK / Sony)

- Can you play 'Burnt Games' from the HDD for Xbox 360?
If so then:
- How do I do that?

Thank You for your time and cooperation.

P.S. If you require a little more specific information, just ask and I'll fix the questions. Thank You once more for your time and cooperation.

You don't have to have a mod chip to play burnt games. You can just flash your firmware, it is easy and very cheap, if not free depending on xbox drive and hardware your pc has. Although you will have to buy dual layer dvd's preferably verbatim cdrdvdrmedia.com they are pretty cheap here $38.00 for 20 with free shipping. You won't be able to play from hard drive neither. Even if you could you wouldn't be able to backup but 1 or 2 games becuase drive is only 20 gb and games are usualy 7+ gb. I have read threads of adding external usb hd but they say you can't play from them either, sorry. If you were interested in flashing you would have to open up 360 to find out what drive you have. If you just got it then it will probaly be hitachi 78fk or samsung ms28.
