I've been reading all this stuff about DG(downgradeing) and im wondering if i can mod my PSP v2.70? All that i have been reading does not answer my question about DG my PSP v2.70. Or do i have too upgrade too a 2.71 then DG?

First check if its a TA-082 or not...

Then yes you can downgrade, but don't upgrade to anything higher than 2.71 for the downgrade...

The TA-082 is the type of motherboard that your PSP has init. You can check if it has one by looking under the door of the UMD slot you look for some Lettets/symbols in the upper right corner. If you see them then you most likely have a TA-082 motherboard.

upgrade to 3.02 oe-b firmware i was on 2.71 using devhook 46 but this is much easier no hen c to muck about with.just copy iso into iso folder via usb mode unhook usb then go to game folder then just click on game.

You should upgrade to 3.03OE-A. Its almost like 1.5 but doesnt support ALL homebrew.

But if u just want to play backups on ur psp ithout having to use a UMD disc to start it, then i recomend 3.03 OE-A
