user tellu2 says "I dont know wether this helps at all but i bricked my psp recently so it just booted to a black screen and didnt start up but if i held x and o together and switched the wlan switch up and down it started back up. hope it helps "

I tried the advice given here and tried it over and over again. Then I took my the power adapter plugged it into my psp then held x and o while switching lan up and down and it WORKED. this just happened just now. I still cant believe i just unbricked my psp.

I just kept repeatingly switching it up and down. I brick it when I put in a vice city file that was not extracted yet and was in exe format.(i dont know why i did that) I loaded it with devhook and when it restarted it bricked while trying to load. So i just started reading threads on bricked psp then i saw that post and tried. I'm sooooo happy right now. (=

Hey one more thing i doont think it was ever bricked in the first place because im trying it on mine well know go if f..ed up by upgrading one more thing did it take a while? and did u turn it off when u did it?

It wouldnt turn off and no buttons would work. It was stuck on that screen for hours and then i kept trying that advice from the other forum then plugged in the power adapter into the psp and tried it again and then in 10 seconds it just switched off and when I switched it back on it was back to normal.
