Hello, thanks for all the support on this forum. I just have one question. I have a psp that came with 2.6 firmware and mobo t-082 (IC6001). Is it possible for me to upgrade to 2.71 firmware, and then use the new downgrade technique to get me to 1.5? I would have thought yes considering the mobo is still a T-082, but i'd just like some re-assurance. Also I'd like to if im going to be limited in any way becuase of my original firmware.

lurtz from a quick read it seems you have a TA-081 mother board not TA-082..A TA-082 would read (IC1003) Have a look here http://psp.about.com/od/homebrew/ig/TA-0...ode-diagram.htm
Do some more reading and ask more questions before flashing..I'm no expert here so DONT'T take my word as gospel...Like I said be really sure before you do any thing stupid....

Right, sorry about double posting.
The letter code on my psp is i. I can get this exchanged for a k that has 2.71 firmware by default. I heard that k all have the T-082 mobos, but i dont know if this is true or not. I can also get it echanged for an h though.
Like everyone else I want to get a psp 1.5 firmware, but where I live its near impossible.
