This problem has cropped up a few times recently and currently no one has a solution to it. However, too be honest, your probably asking in the wrong place. This isnt an xbox problem or a image problem or anything to do with the 360. Its a PC hardware problem. Your burner is having trouble switching layers. Have a look around for a solid PC techie forum, and post your problem in there.

3 burners, the pc came with different lite-on burners, a normal dual layer and a dual layer with lightscribe, i replaced one of them with the pioneer, all gave same result

could pc setup in some way shape or form be a problem here>?

MAKE SURE YOU BURN AT 2.4X ONLY not slower or faster.

use the Pionneer 111D and figure that one out. that has more hopes.

GL

Are u sure i think 4x is the standard for 360 backups....

When you extract the RAR files, what files do you get?
Open the 1kb file, and tell us what that says.

The .dvd file is right. It's not the .dvd file. Format and Reinstall Windows. If you do that and still have a problem, then it's hardware.
