Recently, the makers of Swap Magic have released Swap Magic v3.8, also known as CODER, which adds the ability of loading ACTION REPLAY Cheats to the booted game. However, some users have complained that CODER has some compatability issues as well as known bugs. For example, some games that work on v3.6 do not work with CODER. Consequently, v3.6 remains the most popular version of Swap Magic.

i bought the 3.6 because it was cheaper and i didn't need the cheats feature. 3.6 works great.

From what i have heard the non-coder versions seem to have less problems. But if you use cheat discs i do not think you really have a choice as Swap Magic has problems loading back up games with cheat discs.

Personally i do not like any version as Swap Magic is a total pain
and lacks all the great features you COULD have if you saved you money and had a good mod chip (DMS4 Pro SE) installed.
