Help,

Basically got a sagem x2 dbox flashed with the pacino image. The pacino image loads up fine, but none of the channels work and it says 'waiting for time'.

I have read on another thread that the wrong services.xml file might have been loaded, however i was under the impression that the services.xml was the same for all boxes dependant on the area.

Could it be the pacino image itself not being v good? Sometime if i try and do a scan the channels appear on the scan but i still cant view it and instead it says 'waiting for epg' the time itself at this point will be correct and not the default 1.00. However if i reboot the box then the waiting for time message appears again!

Or have i got a faulty box??

thanx in advance

Have you tried flashing another image? If not, try it and if the same problem persists after doing a full service scan and ajusting obvious settings, it could be a faulty tuner. I believe you can buy replacement tuners on ebay. Worth a try before binning the box..

i have tried different versions of the pacino image as mate who flashed it for me has had alot of success with that. but will have try the another image and see.

Dont fancy getting another tuner as dont want to open up the box.

also (i dont know if relevant) when it has scanned it gets an frozen image of bbc 1 but then if i click on another channel i get a blank screen with error channel not found and at the bottom it says waiting for epg.

I wonder if the CATV feed in to your home is weak..
Do you subcribe to the basic tv package?

http://netwave.redirectme.net/dbox

and select the select the Fix Freeze option from the left hand options

if u get waiting for time, its not the box thats at fault but usually when u havent cut the sat wire properly
