im useing DVD Shrink 3.2 it has been fine until yesterday. it use to take me about a hour to encode a dvd.now its takeing over 2 hours plus.i cant get my rate kbs? over 1000 now it was going at 2500 last week...anyone know how to fix this?

Out of curiosity, did you used DVD Shrink's video quality settings (i.e. DA + AEC + Max Smooth/Sharp)? If not, then it sounds like you're having DMA issue. Try this DMA GUIDE to uninstall your drivers.

thanks...but i have no clue what da+ aec+max means.im a noob at teck talk. guess ppl as dumb as me shouldnt be doing this ?

What I meant is if you didn't used DVD Shrink's enhancement video quality: DA + AEC + Max Smooth or Max Sharp, then it is likely you're having DMA issue. In another word, if all you do is hit Backup! and DVD Shrink is taking forever (i.e. 1 1/2 -> 2 hrs plus), then it must be that your DMA has gone into PIO Mode or OFF Mode. Therefore, DVD Shrink is taking long to transcode your backup. To solve the issue you're having, try this DMA GUIDE to uninstall your drivers.
