psx2pspa converter doesn't work certain rips?

I'm trying to convert the icons in eboots (that work) I ripped myself and it's not working. I've downloaded FF7, which was ripped obviously by somebody else, and it works. When I try converting the icons and pictures for stuff I rip psx2pspa freezes(?)

its because you icons and pictures are too large or heavy and PSX2PSP does not warn you about that.

how do i open the RAR file is there a certain program and can i run the psx eboots on FW 3.03.
