Hello members, Well used DVD Decrypter with the latest AnyDVD running, backedup to hd fast & smooth, then encoded with clone but noticed when it had finished, the norton anti-virus expiration window had open.I then closed the norton window and proceeded to burn with clone, burn was sucsessful.I then tried playing my backup on my dvd player and when it gets to the menu and press play it will freeze, tried fowarding to next chapter and nothing.Could the norton cause a error on the disk ? thanx in advance.

What version of CloneDVD2 are you using? Are you using CloneDVD2? I previously posted that this SONY encrypted movie was a simple back up when using Just AnyDVD 6.0.8.5 Nero Recode. I later discovered and as mentioned by other forum members that "SHOTTAS" has a "Black Screen" that keeps this film from initializing or playing at start. I was able to correct this using AnyDVD 6.0.8.5 and CloneDVD2 2.9.0.3 though my corrected back up has a strange autorun, meaning this film will now run continuously though I can access the menu and all of it's features with no trouble. I have since decided to go with AnyDVD's 6.1.0.1 latest update for future back-ups hoping that Slysoft has overcome it's most recent upgrade fumbles. In watching the 2nd disc the makers of this film claim that "SHOTTAS" was the most bootlegged movie in film history and this is no doubt why SONY & Arccos whipped out the the big guns and added the black screen along with a series of obvious dummy sectors to this film.:P

Yeah you can get it here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_anydvd/
Remember to unistall your current version unless it's a version before AnyDVD 6.0.8.5, again 6.1.0.1 (The latest update) should work. Yeah I have Norton O6 which I continue to use with no problem though I've read other post where members have mentioned having trouble with Norton?:P

just my two cents but why not try RipIt4Me http://www.ripit4me.org/guide.html it is free and kept up to date I use it when I run into problems with my favorite way of backing up has trouble.

Don't you hate it When people say, "It's always in the last place you look". What the HELL??? Of course it
is. Why the HELL would you keep looking for it after you've already found it?
Who the HELL are these people?

SLMH1296,did you try playing the backup to see if it'll play through?N2DVD,did you say using AnyDVD latest 6.101 worked?Like i said,i was able to backed-up and burn, but the backup would freeze;would that version 6.0.8.5 make the difference since 6.1.0.1 backed it up for me fine; but total freeze on the playback.Greatly Appreciated

AnyDVD 6.0.8.5 worked though not with Nero 7 Recode as usual. I then coupled 6.0.8.5 with CloneDVD2 2.9.0.3, I was able to correct the black screen that I mentioned before. I say AnyDVD 6.1.0.1 should work because it is the latest update. If you have this try it 1st but if does not work which it should again because CloneDVD2 made the difference in my opinion. But if you have trouble, Try any older version like 6.0.8.5 like I did.:P
