Hi all & thanks for all the great info on this site...this is my 1st posting.
I have succesfully installed the 3.02 OE-B f/ware (great bit of coding :)) all works as it should iso's PSX's etc, just 1 major problem.......cannot access my network.
Heres my error log (sort of)
Create a connection - New Connection (x)
Scan - Finds my WEP network OK (x)
SSID - Network name ok (>)
WLAN Security Setting - WEP (>)
WEP Key - Entered 10 digit key correctly (>)
Address Settings - Easy (>)
Connection Name - Same as network name (>)
Setting list - IP Address - Auto
- Subnet Mask - Auto
- Default Router - Auto
- Primary DNS - Auto
- Secondary DNS - Auto
- Proxy Server - Do Not Use
- Internat Browser - Do Not Use
(>)
Press x button to save settings (x)
An Internal error has occured (80082728)
Can anyone shed any light on this for me?
I have tested the network/router out with another PSP running DevHook 0.46 & it connects 1st time so it is something with this PSP or f/ware that is the problem.
Sorry for the long post & cheers for any helpfull reps.

Had a feeling that may have something to do with it BUT running 3.02 OE-B & I cannot find any way of checking or altering the clock speed.
If this is the case why has this not been discussed before as I see it as a very major fault with this firmware release.

Bounce Bounce.
Nobody else interested in this MAJOR issue with 3.02 oe-b
Let me say again 3.02 OE-b has network connection problems
As far as I can see you cannot connect to the internet using this firmware.

@ guslingus...
Rubbish....It will be down to one of your settings,I have never had a problem connecting to my network using either easy or advanced settings on 3.02OE-A / B or the new 3.03OE-A with full 128bit WEP.

sorry it was'nt meant to sound so blunt.."An Internal error has occured (80082728)"sounds like a psp error to me, maybe a bad upgrade/flash?,You've had another psp connect first time and i have had both these firmwares on my psp with no network problems.Hope you get it fixed...

The only difference to others may be the fact that my PSP is a Jap unit & I used the Chaos Zero easy install method rather than the usual long hand install.
Have also found out others have had similar networking problems with the Sony 3.02 f/ware for no apparent reason.
This need's broadcasting......

Got some more info (apologies if this is boring people)
Apparently re-setting to default may cure this problem, this has come from the Sony Helpline regarding 3.02 f/ware issues.
Will not be able to try this till I get home from work but fingers crossed, will report l8er.

Sorry, but how would sony have any advice to give about 3.02OEB, it is an illegal custom firmware, they would not have any insight into issues with it ?

@ ggbarnum..
I think guslingus is refering to Sony's standard FW 3.02...
PSPLife:2.60>2.71>1.50>2.71se-c>3.02OE-A>3.03OE-A>3.02OE-A>3.03OE-B>3.03OE-C.

That's correct :)
And I am happy to say all networking problems have been SORTED
Re-setting to default (Restore Default Settings) under System Settings then doing the Network Settings again sorted the problem out.
I think because this is a Jap unit (PSP-1000) & I had switched the 'O' & 'X' buttons to the Euro default, this threw the Network Settings...........don't ask why because I don't know.
Anyway for any others who may experience this problem with Jap Import Units.........you've just found the answer.....happy dayzzzzz.
Thanks for any imput ;)
