Hi guys, i've been out of the psp world for long time, i see there are new things and i'm confused, i got DH 0.46 on my 1.5 psp, emulating vers 2.71, so, is there anything else new? i mena, like amulating some newer versions? i don't care too much for emulating psx games, please let me know if there is any new DH and what is good for.
Devhook is old news :P . Now it's all Dark_Alex's 3.03 Open Edition A. This will not brick your PSP. It will install 3.03 with all of 1.5 homebrew functionalities, and it will read ISOs.
As for Devhook, I believe the newest version is .51 which emulates 3.01. But it's not as handy as 3.03OE-A since if you want to use Homebrew Apps, you gotta exit Devhook... and start it again if you want to read ISOs.
EDIT: some new stuff you can do with the firmware since 2.71. You can now play PS1 games. (Yes, with DarkAlex's OE as well.)
You may still want to upgrade your firmware because with 3.02 OE-A or OE-B there is no need of any emulator device. You just create a folder on the MS Root named ISO, stuff your ISO's in there and you are able to play them perfectly well. Besides there are many other advantages which I really do not know about but will continue to discover. Still there is no problem if you stay on Dh 0.46. If you still want to use Devhook i recommend you get Devhook 0.51 which will emulate firmware 3.02 allowing you to play newer games.
