Hey guys, I just found out about the PS1 games playing on the PSP and that was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I stopped off at a slow store and got a PSP with the letter code K on it. (it also had ss259 before it, don't know if that matters) Going by looking on this site it's FW 2.71, so will it be possible to get it so I can play SNES and my PSOne games on it (with some work of course), or was it a stupid impulse buy and I should just hit ebay for an earlier one? I didn't open the box yet...

Sorry to ask this, but this is the first time that I've moddded anything - what's the best way to go about changing the firmware? The FAQ thread is huge, and I just want to get this right.

Will the homebrew stuff still be able to work if I do that? Will I have to switch back and forth between the 1.5 and the 3.02?

Plus, that guide is for the TA-082, I guess that I'll have to make sure I have that one and not the TA-081.
