can you play avi on psp?

hello everyone!

i can't seem to find a thread that can answer my question...so i'm creating one

can you play AVI on psp without having to convert it to *.mp4? or is there an homebrew application that can load an AVI?

Unfortunately, no you can't right now.

There was a development of this:

But I guess noone considered it and now it's kaput?

I'm not 100% sure but The date on that post is 7/4/2005, long time ago

You can use a program called PimpStreamer to stream AVI movies to your psp from your pc as long as you have a wireless router,but i have not found a program to let you play them from the memory card..hope this helps.

yea i use psplayermt for mine AVI and works great althoough it is not compatable with all vids
