i have heard it is possible to down grade my psp too a 1.5 from a 2.71 running of a mermory card instead of down grading my psp. if this is possible could someone direct to the correct software need. cheers

then u dont have TA-082 to TA-086

1. Upgrade to 2.8 firmware http://dl.qj.net/System-Firmware-v2.80-U.../9070/catid/163
2. Downgrade it with 2.8 downgrader http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/974
3. Follow the program, is has instructions, if not then read the readme
4. Pray
5. See if u get 1.5

he wants to run 1.5 from his card and still keep the 2.71 on his psp..

yep, because there is no wat u can get 2.71 and have 1.5 kernal. That is why he must downgrade it and upgrade again into 2.71 SE-C. OR something like ... it's the nearest thing you can get between 150 and 2.71

yep and u dont need Devhook. 3.03 OE-A is even better, 3.03 format in 1.5 kernal. Any yes on 3.03 OE u can UMD that is for firmware 3.03

I have the same/similar question. Bought PSP for Xmas, v1.52. Disappointed as it was advertised as 1.5. However, much time spent "searching" (and my 7 year old wanting to play Lego Star Wars II) I managed to upgrade to 2.71.
Now I'm looking to see if I can load 1.5 from the memory stick.
Afraid I'm in need of some really idiot proof instructions, and also confirmation of what I need to do to make a backup copy of my UMD's and play off the MS. (I've tried connecting PSP to Laptop but I can't access the UMD Drive).
Any help would be really appreciated on this as I've got complete "search overload" and confused by different suggested methods. Another thing to bear in mind the PSP is primarily for for 7 year old, so loading games from memory stick needs to be like childs play!

all you guys upgrade it to 2.8. Use the 2.8 downgrader I gave you guys. Um... about the german language ... use a translator like babel fish or something like that. if you guys need help there us a youtube video
