OK, first off, go to START---> RUN> then type 'cmd'
In the Command Prompt, type 'ipconfig /release' (no quotations)
Then type 'ipconfig /renew'

After thats done, exit that box, then go to your xbox settings and get the IP ADDRESS on the system settings..

Type this in internet explorer, Firefox, whatever...
ftp://xbox:xbox@ (192.168.0.02) no spaces, between, and change the bracketed numbers to your IP.. and just use the explorer, or firefix, those crappy FTP Programs you PAY for or use TRIALS of, are much slower... TRUST ME, AND BOW DOWN!! :P

Guess what 99% of the time IE will throw "Unable to connect to <ip address> errors. Want to reset all your network and struggle to get back on the internet? Type ipconfig/release at a command prompt and corrupt your hosts file.

Dangerous and wrong..duplicate and unnecessary..there are lots and lots of WORKING tutorials for FTP!

*reported for closure*

This doesn't need to be chewed not every thread that is wrong needs chewing. Only the stupid and wrong threads get chewed on. He didn't do anything wrong he just posted something that was already said before.

All it needs is to be closed
