bought a dvd film from shop went to play it on my pc and it played ok but there was no sound .
any idea what to do?

Does your film play properly on your DVD player?

What program are you using to play DVD ?
Have you tried all the programs on your pc that will play DVD's.
Are your speakers turned on & are they working?

tryed windows media player and realplayer, films play ok but no sound
checked my sound and everything ok as i can play music and talk to my friends no problem

Will other movies play w/ sound on your PC programs.
If so--get a new disk for this movie.
Also, look under Afterdawn Software-download Power dvd ( trial-shareware) see if that will play.

all my movies play ok on my dvd player no problem but on the pc they all play but on everyone there is no sound although i know my sound settings are ok.

have just installed the trial version of power dvd and they all work perfectly.
