Is 3.03 OE-A update safe?

I'm on 3.02 OE-B right now and would like to update to 3.03 OE-A (and hopefully OE-A' as well). I'm just wondering if it's safe and is there a chance of bricking?

its safe and easy, just make sure your battery is fully charged. if you get into any trouble, you can downgrade back to 1.50 but i have yet to do so. im stuck there cause mines a lil broken due to fucking around with it too much haha

Is there anything I need to do before proceeding with the update (i.e. format memory stick?). Also, which kernel should I set it to before updating? 1.50 or 3.02?

ok here is it:-(u can see i'm at 3.03OE-A`)
if u use the easy in installer then select game150 folder to install
(i did it manually,dont worry use the guied)and
i set the kernal to 1.5 but not sure its needed or not!!!u dont need do do any thing else(no formating or restoreing default setting)and restore default setting after updating(in case u use xflash)!!!be sure the charge is full as saosin said and dont unpulg the charger untill the update is done(incase of safety)!!!go on if u r not sure with the manual one then use the easy one and make sure u select the game150 folder!!!!!good luck!!! sorry for long writing lolz :)
