I just got a new computer and I reloaded DVD Decrypter, RIP it 4 Me, and DVD Fab. I use Nero and DVD Shrink to burn. When I open DVD Fab it says that it has detected AnyDVD and I must turn it off. As far as I know I don't have AnyDVD on my new computer. The DVD software that came with my Dell Optiplx 745 are:
Roxio Creator 2.0.4
Cyberlink Power DVD
Windows Movie Maker
Is this just a glitch or am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.
UPDATE:
I noticed AnyDVD has some sort of relation with Elaborate Bytes and I have DVD Region Killer on my computer. When I disable that, the message disappears. Although this is not AnyDVD would it still cause a problem if I leave it on?
I've been using DVDFab Decrypter and RipIt4Me for ages and I have never seen any DVDs/movies that "it can not" be ripped or backed up. Yes, it is recommend you to "shut off/disable" AnyDVD, DVD43 or other decrypting engines that's running in the background.
Fact is... both DVDFab Decrypter and RipIt4Me are already 2 of the best FREE rippers. And yes, both will rip through anything (even new released) flawlessly.
I've never heard of "DVD Region Killer", but I've heard of DVD Region+CSS FREE (from Fengtao, the author behind DVDFab Decrypter, DVDFab Platinum and DVDIdle Pro).
If you need more helps, then let me know. Best of luck!!

Hey alkohol
DVD Region Killer is an older free (I think) program from Elaborate Bytes before AnyDVD's time.
Same developers so I'm guessing that's why DVDFab is picking it up.

That is why -- thx binkie for the clarification. Hmmm... I guess I never used any of SlySoft tools that's why I have no idea what it is.
