Mines fake and if i put loads of stuff on it it comes up as "corrupted data"
I cant load any games on my 2 gb. and yet its 1976mb when formatted on my psp?
Thats what u call a fake as memory card! i spent nealy £40 on it aswell! im soo pissed! and this wasnt even from ebay, from a market!

I bought an fake 2g memorystick on feb 06... it worked great for about 3 months, after that my psp will not detect it. I threw it away. this christmas my wife bought me a 4g memory stick from buy.com for a great price i think it was like $80 bucks. check it out who ever needs one...

Bought mine on Amazon, It's was 4gb for 80 bucks. It's a sandisk and it even came in a box(slight deformed). It works percectly so far and I don't really notice a speed difference from my 1 gb Sony card.

Mine was $40 +shipping and is fake didnt notice till after I paid
slow ass peice of crap upper gig everythign was corrupt sent it back lets see if the new fake peice of crap gonna work when i get it lol
but since I bought my 1gig at walmart for $50 speed is great on it lol but cost is nuts
friend bought a 2 gig sony i think is fake looks legit came in plastic with adaptor etc says sony but its every bit slow as my fake
under hd tac i think it is about average 2mbps topout 11

i tried that app but its shit cuz my MS is fake but it dnt tell u how it fake? mine doesnt even load games!

well it does show the bench mark of a real one the nice big high line on picture
then tells you your benchmark on the fakes i tested it was real low about 2mbps
on my real one it was right up there in pic so to me it works fine
also have used a program called HD Tach it will test the speed of the sticks also
I mean if you test the stick and you get 2mbps and you suposed to get 80 you know somthing wrong lol
either case I recieved my 2nd or 3rd replacment of my fake lol and still cant use the upper gig try to transfer anythign over 800megs you get errors not to mention the 12 min to tranfer the 800megs

try reformating to FAT32 or FAT16...my memory stick became a bit faster when i reformated to FAT32

to see if it is fake in your psp menu go to a memory stick icon ,any icon it could be under photo or music ,press triangle then information and you will see the details of the memory stick ,this doesn't work in 1.5 firmware ,in 1.5 firmware you only see the full size of the memory stick and the free space

Ok guys I tested this new app, and made some tests on the memory sticks I own.
First one is a sony ms provided with my giga pack (1 GB)
The two next ms are supposed to be sony official I bought on eBay XD (2GB fakes)
The last one is a 4GB Sandisk (retail) Gaming Edition
So there are no more doubts as the ms that were bought on eBay were fakes...

I dont know, I bought a next psp, will get it this week or next week, I will let you know. But I buy 2 1GB MS from there and both work good, it have about 999MB space I think. I will let you know.

i agree dont buy ebay (memory sticks) go to a store or shop on line. buy.com or amazon. I bought a 4 gig for about 85 or 90 bucks....

well I kept the last fake as i can use the 1st gig and well they offerd refund but after all the shippign so far ill end up getting like $5 back lol not worth giving up the stick at this rate
lol let kid use for movies on his psp or something
either case ordered a 4 gig sandisk from newegg seems to work fine lil slower than I would like but all 4 gigs work great
slow i mean 12 min for 4 gig much better than 12 min for 800 megs the fake did lol
either way ill test it using the identifier and see where the bar stands
(well my 4 gig ultra 2 sandisk pic looks the same as his up there)
