live system update???

Hi turned my 360 on this morning and a message has flashed up "new update for system available". I chose not to download it as previously i messed it up by doing the fall update. I have an MS28 running xtreme 4.2a will i have any problems if i download this update?

I just seen it 2, im going to try to get my bro it test it on his 360 w/ xtreme 5.2, until then i guess ill be playin offline =/

Where to exactly look at over Xbox.com. I cant find a page which tells u abt the update...which sucks cause there shld be one...its been a year already.

i have a LG drive 360 which has had the fireware changed and xbox have made a new update can i update or not please help me

Updated it myself (Hitachi drive) and it worked fine. I tried Lost Planet after that and it work flawlessly (awesome game!).

ok, to those who have said it works fine, what drives do you have and what firmware are you running? Mines MS28 and xtreme 4.2a, if you have same combination let me know if you have tried it and been successful?

I have the the same combo and the update is safe. I tested a original, a backup on Live, a-ok.

Just a minor dashboard update. It seems to have ruined Xbox Guide text for some reason...it blurry now and low resolution. If anyone else noticed it, pls let me know.
Also, i have a Hitachi drive and god knows which FW.

Is there a way to check what firmware is on mine, because I just did the update and I received an E 66 error. I don't even know what drive I have because I bought it off of ebay and have never opened it.
