I found these common Samsung TV codes, these are what IRShell/IRCommander use I think Universal-Remote uses some other format.

http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/codes/samsung/tv_functions/

It's not an easy job setting up the remote, but it's quite comprehensive once you get into it. Create a new rdf file for your samsung (copy one of the existing files). Then go through each button/function and replace the hex codes with ones from that samsung page.

Hopefully those samsung codes will work as the site just says 'Samsung TV codes'

Why would you want to use it as a remote? You'd have to have the psp on and it'll be draining the battery. It might be fun to take your psp to a bar or something and mess with their tv hehe.

Exactly, my DVD player infact was part of a DVD/TV set and the remote for the set doesn't even cover half of the DVD functions. Using IRcommander I'm able to access every single function of the DVD player.

Also I reckon it'd last 10 hours+, battery use is not a problem because when you are not pressing any buttons there is really not much CPU being used (which is what drains the battery). I mainly use mine to navigate menus on the DVDs, set languages etc, then I put the PSP to sleep while I'm not using it, a simple flick of the switch brings the remote back up.

use IR shell ,it comes with a big pack of codes, so you can at least find 1 for ur t.v dvd xbox ps2 ect.

make sure u find your neibours t.v pronto code so you can turn there t.v on and off and time you like LOL

IRshell also allows you to listen to ur own psp music while playing games
