I am a Mac user and am trying to take a slide show and burn it on DVD with music so I can play it on my home DVD Player. I used iPhoto and iMovie to make a .mov file. I play it in quicktime and it works great. Then I use ffmpegx to create a dvd file with Audio_TS and Video_Ts Folders. Now do I need a special program to actually burn the DVD-R. I just put the Video_TS Folder on the DVD and burned it but it wont play. I get a not permitted message on my apple DVD Player and my home dvd wont recognize it. So do I need a special program to burn with or did I do something else wrong. I am a true newbie and thank you for all your help ahead of time.

You should only have/use the Video TS folder with Bup, VOB and Ifo files. If you use Nero make sure that you don't use multisession and that you burn in DVD Video mode. To check multisession is not selected go to DVD-ROM (ISO). Then go to DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO)and select the UDF option and make sure 'physical partition' is selected and you can also change the figure in the box to 1.50. Also make sure your standalone can play DVD-R discs as some cannot.

math0194, did you convert your .mov files to .vob? Your stand alone will mainly read the .vob files and very few read other file types. That could be why not reconized. I don't know if there is a version of TMPGenc for Macs, but you willneed a program like this to convert to the corect .vob files. When burning its ok to burn both Video_TS and Audio_TS folders. My player needs both present or else takes 3min to reconize the disk. But other players get confused with both folders.

Just remembered, Roxio6 is available for Mac. You can buy the Mac version and is supported in OS9.1 or OS10.2. This will allow you to convert video files and burn DVD's viewable in your DVD player. However it does not support .mov files. So this method, you will still have to convert to mpeg, mpeg2, divx, vob ete. Just .mov don't seem to be supported.

Which packet Cd tools are you refering? Do you mean Direct CD or the new drag to disc software. DirectCD is now called Drag to disc in Roxio6. That was one of the reasons for me buying it. I like that option of writing small packets to discs and when I am finished Caping it off. Did you have problems with it?
