or try downgrading to 1.5 to see if the MS still works. if it does then it was the FW if it doesnt your MS is busted.

psp life = 2.6-1.5 > Custom Firmware Harley G's > 2.0 > 1.5 > C/FW XxPSPmadxX > 2.0 > 1.5 > 2.71 SE-C>swapped 2.5>2.6>1.5>2.0>1.5>3.03 OE-A>3.03OE-B/3.03OE-C

make a fodler inside mso:/PSP/GAME/RECOVERY <--- make fodlers manually were needed.

Downlaod a 1.5 eboot and place it inside the recovery folder.

Re name the 1.5 eboot to ... UPDATE.PBP

Go into recovery by turning psp on while holding R

Choose the option to "start program from PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP"

It will start the downgrade. it will ook liek your upgrading.

The problem with that is that his memory stick is not detectable by his psp. So basicly, your method is completly useless. Evo, I had the same problem. I just put the memory stick out and put it back in. Just fiddle around but don't mess with any settings in the recovery menu.
