Has anybody here messed around with light scribe? Where do you find the art to burn on the disc? Also, how are the results?

I have, I bought my first DVD burner(LG) it has the light scribe feature. There are three settings for quality. The middle one takes about 12mins. That is the only bad thing. If you look on the web you can find all kinds of pictures, and if you have photo/picture editing software you can size it so it looks good. The image is kind of holagram looking. The software for it is very versitle, you can not only sribe on valid media, but you can design covers for all sorts of DVD/CD cases. It also has all the fonts you'll ever nead and is you easy to use. How ever scribes are not in color, they are like a sephia tone.

Hope that helps

Here's my #1 site for full hub,reg hubs, and lightscribe covers:

http://covers.box.sk/.

They are up and down so often-very irritating, but well worth it.Very good free covers and lots of choices. If they are running today, download the covers that you need because they may be down tomorrow, LOL

Find your cover, open it up,let it download, right click save picture as and send it to your Cover Folder, then fish those files out with your LS software like Nero, sonic, surething, etc. My covers looked the same using all 3 of those LS programs.

Here's some more,

generetic and hirescovers cost money, but they are said to have some awesome covers.

I use reg covers, just like the original movies. They look pretty good on lightscribe media. Results of lightscribe covers vary. My covers were hazy, but my dad's identical HP 640c lightscribe turned out perfect. I had to download another utility to help enhance the quality. It's called Lightscribe ELCU,but you have to have your software already loaded before downloading and setting it up.

It takes me 30-35 mins to do the lightscribe cover, but before the ELCU,I had to run it through twice and still had blurry covers.

Make sure you get Verbatim LS media. Avoid HP.

The overall quality looks like a 3-D look, but just all the different shades of brown: Tan,brown,Bronze, etc. I also do Inkjet printables.

Colored LS media has come out. I'd love to see how they look.
