Right lads hope you can help me as I have a problem,

1. Got a new PSP of a m8 of mine cheap it was brand new in the box (unopened). The unit will power up and the green light comes on but no sound and a black screen.

Would I be able to send it back to sony under warranty (plz note I haven't got a clue where he got it from it could) - it very well may burn your hand.

2. Can you use the original Sony Media Manager that comes with the PSP with modified firmware (DAX)

Are you sure it was unopened? Sound like you have a brick...

I don't know about getting Sony to replace them, usually it'd be the place you bought it from that replaces the unit if it's broken.

I'm pretty sure you can use the media manager with any PSP as it runs on your PC anyway.

I know the units shagged but no-one has done anything to it. Out of the box faulty.

Can I get this replaced as I have no receipt??? but surely the s/n on the machine must say that its in date.
