I had used Gamefly for ps2 and xbox games for about a year up until last summer. I'm in PA and they only shipped from CA. It took atleast a week to get to me and then another week to ship back. And, after a while, they started throttling me on new releases.

If you're looking for hard to find games it's great, but new releases imo I wouldn't suggest.

You live in PA also! It takes like 3 or 4 days for games. So I'm going to cancel this is ridiculous.

Can I get games from blockbuster over the net via Mail, or just the stores?

Thanks
Domreis

The blockbuster in my town just opened! I have free rentals for life from Hallywood, but I don't have a HollyWood in my town! I need to drive 30 miles! (I won a drawing, it was to support the breast cancer fight, and that was one of the prizes!)

how do expect something through the mail to be much less than that. it can be but on average 3-4 days seems pretty good to send something to gamefly and back.

I live in northern california (pretty remote), with gamefly's fast return games get to me in a day or two. that is, gamefly knows when i've dropped them off at the post office and sends out the next game in my queue.

3-4 days to CA, 1-2 days to process and ship, 3-4 days to PA. That's about a 2 week turnaround with weekends. Nobody said they'd expect the shipping to be quicker across country.

dude. you're way off base. first they have a fast return service with the post office so that as soon as your return hits the postoffice your next game ships out. second who ever heard of 2 weeks to send something back and forth through the mail. it's not like they load this stuff on a truck and hit the highway. it's loaded on an airplane and flown across in a matter of hours.

getting your underwear all bunched up over nothing and missing out on a great service with all the games you could ever wish for. to me it's not about buying or renting. it's about playing. and since i started with gamefly i've been playing a lot more great games and have found some great ones i never would have purchased.

it's hardly even worth arguing over. why save people from their mistakes? i've been trying to get my mom to rent movies from netflix for years now. won't listen. just keeps buying them or ordering them from catalogs. sometimes i think she can't function without her disfuntion.

So you're going to tell me when I received my rented games in the mail??? Who are you to tell me I'm way off base. And for your information the "shipping your next game as soon as your return hits the post office" is only available in certain regions. And nw PA isn't one of them.

Unless you work for the post office and deliver my mail then you have no right telling me I'm wrong. I think I'd know better then you would...dude.

listen sorry to have come off condescending. this is a great discussion becuase gamers have a lot to gain from this in identifying what's best for them. it just seems there's a lot of pointless negativity and hyperbole being thrown around for no good reason.

i have a few questions with blockbuster online.

1. a. when i do in-store exchange, do i need a membership with that blockbuster store?

b. if i return my online DVDs to the store but doesnt want to get any DVDs from that store, do they immediately ship the next DVDs in my queue? or do i have to wait for the store to return those DVDs to the shipping center?

2. if i have the 3 DVDs plan, can i get 3 games instead or are the games limited?

I live in Arizona and I used to use Gamefly. At first they had a quick turnaround. I started having problems with Gamefly not recieving my games until a week and a half after I sent it back. A few games even came up missing. I think the problem was with Gamefly because I would send back my games from home, work, and several different post offices. I also have Netflix and I would send back the movies with the games and the movies had no problem with returns. I just finally got fed up with Gamefly and cancelled.

block buster sucks where im at you need two credit card and two id's to get an account... then they have that no late fee thing but if you have a movie or game for two weeks they will charge the price of the movie or game to your card until you return it... i had game fly for a few months like a year ago and it was pretty slow took like a week and half to get a new game... but im sure its alot quicker now.. atleast i would hope so

Well, I think I am going to use BlockBuster, my dad said he would split the cost with me since we can get DVDs also! They have a distrubutor 48 miles from my house wich makes it the closet place! I also like the fack that we can take out DVD and Blu-ray into the store to excange them!
