anyone suggest the best dvd editor for editing films i have put on to disk off the tv.

Hi.

I prefer TMPGEnc Author. Version 1.6 has a fully functional free trial. The newest version is somewhat crippled.

If you have the Nero suite, NeroVision will work as well, although I'm not a big fan of the editing feature.
