Yesterday I got a premodded XBox (I was told it used a modchip but I dont know which one)

It uses evo-X dashboard which Im not really fond of but have no idea what the steps would be to install another Dashboard - could anyone tell me?

Also - What dashboard would you recommend? I was thinking Avalaunch or XBMC

XBMC can be a good dash, and so can avalaunch, best bet is to try them out and see which one suits you, goood luck!

Right heres the settings i use for FTP from my pc to xbox using evox,

PC network settings:

IP: 192.168.0.100

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Default Gateway: 192.168.0.102

XVOX Network Settings

IP: 192.168.0.102

Make sure you have EVOX ip as static (YES)

set a password if you desire, or leave as xbox.

then get a FTP program such as flash fxp, or smart fxp, and away you go.

GOOD LUCK!!!

No man dont listen to anybody. all that FTP bullcrap is the long way....what you need to do is download slayers 2.7 from any torrent site...then when its downloaded extract the file and you will get a single iso file. Burn that iso file to a dvd disc with Nero by going under the Backup category and selecting Burn Image. Burn it and put it in your xbox(considering your xbox is modded, it will read it. Make sure you turn ur xbox on with the power button not the eject tray button.) anyway, when ur put the disc in the program should run and you be given a category there to install a dashboard. there are about 5 different dashboards so choose one!Hope i helped ;)
