hello all , my question is once a xbox 360 has been flashed can it then play any 360 backup game no problem ?

what im getting at is do i have to flash my xbox 360 with new firmware ie. every 3 months as new games come out or once it has been flashed is that it no more re-flashing ?

you may need to reflash if it stops reading backups, M$ reflashes them from time to time ive heard so you may have to reflash it

did I miss something here? I did not know that M$ has the capability to flash your xbox 360 dvd rom remotely?

Am I wrong? Or has microsoft jsut invaded our privacy?

No MS doesn't flash your firmware. What was happening after the fall update MS25 and MS28 shared a hacked firmware and MS made so the firmware has to match the drive. That's was causing some error 66 messages, but the issue has be address in newer firmwares.

from the replies it seems that as long as i flash with the latest firmware i should be ok for quite a while .

well all you have to do is flash your drive once but there has been updated firmwares with different features, so you will probably want to update when newer firmwares become available.
