HITACHI V.0059DJ HELP NEEDED

i flashed my hitachi v.0059dj drive with the birdy auto flasher all was ok till i tried to play a genuine game of gears of war, it needed reflashing with a newer flash so having taken my 360 apart removed the drive and connected it to my pc via x360 usb kit(pc switched off at this stage)switched on my pc and .....nothing so i put my xbox back together and now the drive on my xbox WONT eject ? it says opening but nothing happens,not shure what to do now cant get it to show on my pc either(v2 kit doesnt work now -no lights on odd kit)have i corrupted the firmware or bricked the drive? if so where's the cheapest place to by a new drive & what firmware is best? Any help/advise please
