Hey all, first off I'm very new here, but not too new to the PSP scene. Anyways, Just wanted to say hi and ask my first dumb question. So let it begin!

I was wondering where you guys got your psp's at and how much they were. I'm kind of looking towards the used realm and don't have too much to spend ~140ish. Also, I do want to homebrew the thing up with some of my PSone games (Did it for a friend on his psp, so I' know the ropes there) so a psp under 2.8 is a very good thing. Anyways, nice to meet everyone and thanks for the responses!

Yeah, I heard about places that refurbished them. Its just hard to find a decent one since everytime I ask people about the firmware they say "Firm-wha?". Anyways, Nice to meet you and I'll check out eBay again and see if something is going down!

I think ebay is probably the best place (unless you REALLY want a 'new' PSP (I just got a new 2.71 before christmas)). You can get some really good deals if you just spend a week visiting and looking at the ones which have alot of games with them. You can often get a good deal from the people selling christmas presents or old consoles which their kids no longer play on and bundle in 10 games. Then you just stick the games back on ebay and you end up with a nice cheap PSP unit.

I've bought a few this way, always from 'normal people' who're just selling their junk on ebay. I never trust these people who sell 10 PSPs every day, you've got to think something isn't quite right about them.

ebay would be the best place.chaeaper and more likely a lower firmware version.i got mine for 120 with 4 games and 2gb memory stick

I've been trying to snipe some out, but its been rather difficult as of late. And as for the 2.81 firmware, people just don't seem to understand/respond to my questions on what firmware there psp's have. Does God hate me?!?
