I know you need a CUSTOM firmware to play PSone games. But, what if you can activate your psp to play the PSone game? As in, maybe connect it to a PS3 and activate that way? or activate it in some other way. Anyone know or thought about this?

Thats the whole point !!!

You are meant to connect it to a PS3 to activate it. Thats how it was planned by Sony. Its just that DA managed to hack it so that you don't have too.

No, you cant, you need either Sony's 3.0x firmware or Dax's 3.0x OE custom firmware.

Okay, than what if you did connect it to a PS3 and activate it. Would you be able to play PSone games that sony lic out by not actually downloading the games off of the playstation network. But by downloading them off of a torrentsite? Would it work only on the titles that sony lic?

only games boughten from playstation network will work and as i said before, only sony's 3.0x can play ps1 games if you use the ps3.
