If you're on 3.03 OE-A or OE-B then you may be able to use the Recovery option to return to 1.5. Hold 'R' when you turn the PSP on and see if you get the purple Recovery Menu. If not then I think you're screwed...

Honestly theres nothing you can do. If you cant access the Recovery Menu then there's no way of re-flashing the firmware.

If its not too old then try taking it back to the shop you got it from....you may be lucky and they may swop it out. Otherwise its gonna have to go back to Sony to be sorted out under Warranty but you'll probably have to tell 'em something like your little brother got hold of it during a firmware update.

Why does everyone bother trying to get there bricked psp to get fixed by sony. Heres a simple solution.

1. Go to wallmart.
2. Buy a psp
3. switch the serial number stickers
4. put the old one in the new box.
5. return it saying you had to update to play a game and it just shut down and wont turn on
6. Enjoy your new psp.
