I have a modem and linksys WiFi router.
My laptop is connected to internet by wifi and xbox by wire.
Is it possible to stream music&pictures from my laptop through router?

yes.. you have to go to the xbox website and download the zune software.. that will allow you to sync your two devices.. and then you can stream audio while you play your games.

well, that doesnt help me very much. Isn`t there any step-by-step information, configuring routers, zune etc ?

how is that hard to follow? the link takes you exactly through how to download the software how to install it and configure it.. there is nothing you need to do with your router.. as long as your xbox is connected to the internet and your computer is also and they are on the same network.. router.. then you should have absolutley no problem..

but zune doesn`t find any devices. I think there must be some kind of sharing problem somewhere in firewall or smth. I don`t know...

ok sorry bro.. you just have to ignore that.. then when you do the stuff on the xbox which is step 5 you will still connect to the pc.. give it a shot.. it worked for me.. lol.. sorry if it doesnt work..

when i choose options->library->media sharing it is saying: Media Sharing is currently disabled, either because the sharing service is not running or your firewall settings have changed. To start sharing, you must first confirm you sharing settings.

it is saying it on zune in my pc. Well it is saying it, but the sharing options still will open, but there isn`t listed any xbox360. But there shoult be.
In services zune network sharing service is also stopped. If i want to start it, it is saying: Could not start zune network sharing service on Local Computer.
Error 1068: the dependency service or group failed to start.

try to setup the 360 and then try it again.. it may not be able to find the 360 until you do step 5.. which doesnt make sense to me, but it is possible

FORGET ALL THAT!!!
Just update your Windows Media Center to version 11.
They enable sharing and allow sharing to 360.
Easy as pie.

Well, i have MP11 now, but still it doesn`t connect. I choose from library share my media and i put a tick in the box and i choose OK, then the MP is not responding ~10sec and the tick is gone. So it won`t let me enable sharing my media.

how exactly do you update to Windows Media Center Edition?
i have bog standard XP
Currently on my 7th PS3 and 4th Xbox, gotta love technology.. |

problem solved, i juts had to start 2 services, that were disabled :)
