Bought 4GB Sony Memory Stick and having problems. Wondered if anyone else having the same problem?

Basically, the memory stick only recognises 2GB of data. I've managed to dump 3 UMDs successfully using DAXDumper, but the memory stick will only keep 2.

I formatted the MS in 2.71 and also 3.03 OE-A2

History - 1.52>2.71>1.5>3.03 OE-A2.

You might've gotten a fake 4GB that's actually a 2GB...

Thanks Guys.
Guess what....I did buy it from eBay. I've contacted the seller for a refund - I've not given feedback yet so that should prompt them into a refund.
I've spotted a Sandisk 4GB on play.com for £90. Is that around the going price or does anyone have another good sources?

This is getting weirder! I've just copied a load of files (music, emails, photos) to try and fill up to the full 4GB. The MS has taken all the files, and my PC can see them all and access them all.

When I go to access the music it's showing the music folders but zero tracks.

I'm wondering if it's a problem with the PSP not being able to write or read from a 4GB Memory Stick? My PC can write to it no problem.

I've just read that if you go to Photo, Memory Stick and press Triangle you get detail on the Memory Stick. If it says "Unknown" next to MagicGate then it's a fake. It should say "Compatible".

Mine says "Unknown" so that solves that problem!
