please please help me!
i think i may have bricked my psp today when i used theme psp from dcemu.co.uk forums. i tried putting a darthvader theme on it and i got the blue screen of death, the one that tells you to press circle to restore settings. but when i do press circle it comes right back up.
my psp runs 3.02eb firmware. i dont think its completely bricked because i can still play umd games and i can access the restore menu when i hold the R trigger and turn it on. i can also toggle the usb on and off.
is there any way i can use restore to get my psp working again? I dont think i still have all the files for recovery because i lost my other memory card which had the recovery folder on it. when i tried to recover it it said that update.prb or something was missing...
please help me i beg you!!

ok ignore the last post aswell cos i got it working under GAME but i still havnt got it working under GAME/BOOT/ but i dnt care cos i like the option at startup of being able to go to XMB rather than goin to IRSHEL. recently i have been trying to copy the files from Star wars BFII from the UMD to the memory stick but it must b bigger than 220MG cos my friend copied dynasty warriors and it was only 100MG and was playin it which was pretty cool i thought cos u can save money on buying games. Now for a ?'n can u download UMD games of the internet or off like Lime wire?

Hey ppl who have semi bricked their psp. if u read the previous posts to where a person has told u that u have to name the EBOOTS other things cos i had the same problem with the screen freeze it is fixable and when/if you fix it go straight to 3.03OE-B (i think or the latest D_A FW). If u read from the top post and that will tell u what to do. And i am running FW 3.03OE-B and i couldnt be happier cos it has the net and i have wireless router and othe cool stuff like viualisations for music so FW 1.5 is rather pathetic now and i could downgrade whenever i wanted. SO do the above things and let me kno..
hope this answers some Q'Ns

Hey. Unless thats dark_alex FW then its a full brick. (Even if it is that way and you cant get the recovery menu to work then i dnt think you have much hope.) And there is no recovering it Sorry to tell ya that. BUT if it is under warrenty then what you should do it go back to the store you bought it from with ur docket that should have kept. And tell them that it wont start the XMB DONT tell them what you did. Just say i was upgrading and the battery ran out and now it wont work or sumthin like that. Other wise if u cant do that then sell it on ebay as a bricked PSP and unfortunately you will have to buy a new 1 (hate to state the obvious)

hi guys i really need help with my psp
i recently updated it to 3.03 0e c
everything ran fine and iso ran perfectly as well as umd everything was fine
but then wen i started playing BOF 4 (Breath of Fire 4) for the PsX for couple weeks on it it ran fine also but now after i exited BOF4 and try to load other ISO none of them would load
the ISO either com up wif an error "this Game could not be started (80020148)"
or it just stayed at a black screen. and my umd arent even regconized anymore they just have that loading circle at bottom right of screen and it keep trying to load the umD but it cant. But all the PSX Games all still run perfectly Can anyone help me on this. after it happened i thought i update to 3.10 OE A and it may solve the problem but it still stay at the same problem so my psp is now 3.10 OE A. plz help me thank you T_T

that i know of, 3.10 is suppose to be better than 303 oec as far as psx emulation goes.....but no matter what OE you use, your recovery config settings have to be correct...
I don't have this issue, but maybe i can help a bit....
try changing no UMD mode to disable and/or toggle the kernel mode...
hope this helps a little...

I dont play psx games on my psp (mostly cos i havnt tried and if they are like atari emulators which i have apassion for hating i wont put them on). As said above u might have to experiment with different setting in the recovery section. I for 1 have no problems with running ISO infact i now have put all my UMD's away and run purely off ISO cos theyre heaps quiker. If nothing fixes ur problem u may have to run the recovery in the recovery section and c what happends then. (sorry if this post probly wasnt all that helpful)
