a UMD isnt necissarily required depending on the ISO...I know some psp games dont work w/o that option enabled...

and youre at 3.10 cfw? or 3.10 sony? if youre at 3.10 sony, then i do believe you are boned my fine sir...

3.xx OE-.xx recovery is very easy.... just run Hex's winstaller and go from there.....

REPAIRED IT!!!!!!

YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

If you in trouble, then follow the instructions if you're less than 3.03 OEB:

1. Download Hexitnow Winstaller (3.03 OE-C)
2. When finished, Click next, till you get Drive A.
3. Plug the USB cable the select the psp drive.
4. Click next and it installing to your psp.
5. When you finish, go to /PSP/GAME/ there are two new folders.
6. Open the folder that includes DXAR 17mb & EBOOT.
7. Copy two of them and paste on RECOVERY folder
(If you don't have the folder, Create.)
Back to PSP

8. Restart your PSP and hold R to open recovery.
9. Select the third option.
10. When it finished IT WILL BRICK YOUR PSP.

Just kidding.

You'll be Happy

The thing is that i have 1.50 and there is no recovery :(. I was wondering if there is something that could run before the blue screen appear, putting some files in the root of the memory stick or something. please i need help

Speedy190,
What you should do is tun off ur psp completely then charge it until the charge light is not on. Unplug it. If you have a Custom firmware. Then go to recovery and run the recovery program. It will probly go bak to 1.5 but then just run the 3.03OE install then run the C update. If this doesn?t work then try replacing the battery. But iam pretty sure it wont be the battery as when you go to charge ur psp maybe the charge icon has some faults and that is what is freezing ur psp

It would help if you actually found a thread that wasn't created close to a year ago and last replied to 8 months ago.

Now to your question.

What type of PSP do you have? FAT/SLIM?

A SLIM PSP can not use the recovery folders.

A FAT PSP can use them but you will need to use the proper recovery folder. The old recovery folder for 3.52 M33 custom firmware and below will not work on 3.71 M33 custom firmware.

Go HERE for links to the proper recovery folder for 3.71 M33 CFW.

As to the 1.50 ADD ON-2 question. Yes you will lose the 1.50 ADD ON-2 because that is part of the 3.71 M33-4 custom firmware 1.50 kernel support.
