hi i have just purchased a white psp ive been reading all the reviews about the dreaded ta-082 mb,my psp has ic6001 on the back its hard to see though under the metal,have to turn it upside down to see it,is my psp safe to downgrade??? please help this is driving me nuts!!!!!!!! the gold number is right next to the sony logo

first off check what firware is install on ur psp on checking in system setting then system information if you have a firware 2.80+ then you can downgrade.
btw ta 82 doest matter they can be downgrade now.

have fw 2.71 just wonderd wether i have a ta-082 mb i have gold letters nearest my r button that read ic6001 and cant see any others so do you think mine is a non ta-082 mb?

coppkidd ur motherboard isnt a TA-082 since TA-082's have ic1003.
