Is it possible to have two SATAs on the motherboard, and not have a SATA card?

you should have two sata ports on your motherboard but they run off the same chipset

yea there is two, but everytime I boot it freezes at the Dell Logo

Do you have the correct chipset? If not you need to purchase a PCI sata card. Newegg.com... there are a ton of links in this forum to a suitable sata card.
