My pc is in need of a clean install and i cant find my disc nowhere!!! if i were to get another copy of xp home from somewhere else and still used my genuine product code key would this still work???

Yes. It's one disk and your keys will work with any. You still have to validate with Microsoft so you will be fine. For a paying costomer I think they would send you a new disk for $10

ps: don't get a copy off the net, find a friend that has a real disc and just copy his. there is nothing illegel with that because you paied for the license, not the disc
